Hello! I'm Judy Diaz, and I'm running for Rockledge City Council because I believe our city deserves leadership that listens, communicates openly, and always puts residents first.
As a wife, a mom of four, and a lifelong Brevard County resident, I care deeply about protecting what makes Rockledge special. Our neighborhoods, natural spaces, and sense of community are worth preserving, and I believe we can embrace progress without sacrificing the character of the city we love.
Over the years, I've become increasingly concerned that too many important decisions are made without enough public involvement. Residents deserve clear communication, meaningful opportunities to participate, and leaders who value transparency and accountability.
I believe growth should pay for growth. New development should help fund the roads, stormwater improvements, and infrastructure our community needs instead of placing the burden on existing residents. Smart planning today protects our quality of life, property values, and the future of Rockledge.
Like many of you, I reached a point where I could no longer sit on the sidelines wondering why things weren't changing. Rather than simply talk about the issues, I decided to step forward and become part of the solution.
If elected, I'll work to:
